Peanut Butter Sheetcake

I should have posted this before, because these are TO DIE FOR and I found this recipe a while ago. Since then I gave the recipe to my mom, and she made them for a YW thing at church and everyone really liked them. If you like peanut butter, you've gotta try these.

Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

Mix in pan and bring to a boil:

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter

Sift the following and add to the above mixture:

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda


Mix and add to the above mixture:

2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla

Stir well and pour into greased or parchment lined cookie sheet pan (jellyroll pan). Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Frosting

Mix in pan and bring to a boil:

3/4 cup butter6 Tbsp buttermilk
1/2 cup peanut butter

Take off stove and add:

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp vanilla. Pour over warm cake.

5 reasons why I hate my cat:

1. We now use half-shredded toilet paper every time we go to the bathroom.

2. He is EVERYWHERE. There is no surface in our home too high enough for him to get on top of.

3. He wakes up every morning between 6-6:30 am. He thinks that we should be up that early too.

4. He has peed on both our bed and our couch.

5. He can be a huge brat (I will still get scratch marks).

1. He is super sweet and LOVES Kevin. He will cry by the door whenever he leaves.

2. He loves to play with people, and has never been scared of strangers.

3. He can use the toilet.

4. He will follow me around the apartment when I'm the only one there, he's always good company : )

5. Will snuggle and give kisses (when he's in the mood)

Todd's mission farewell!

We got to go to California for my little brother's mission farwell on Sunday March 13th. My parents flew us all down on Friday, and then Kevin and I flew home late Sunday night. Everything was awesome except for the lovely 5-hour delay at the airport Friday night. We were supposed to land in California around 7pm. Then we were all going to go out to dinner with the family. However, we didn't get there until after midnight! Totally sucked especially since our trip was so short anyways. The weekend was really fun though, spending time with family, going out to eat, shopping, and seeing a movie. Todd's farwell on Sunday was great, and we had fun visiting with all of our family. Todd got ordained on Sunday night after we left for the airport. My parents and brothers came up to Provo to take Todd to the MTC. On Tuesday night, we went out to dinner and to the temple as a family. It was awesome! It was sad to say goodbye to Todd after. Everyone is seriously going to miss that kid! He reported to the MTC on Wednesday March 16. He will be serving in the Des Moine, Iowa mission. Good luck Elder Fenn, we love you!
