It's a BOY!

Went in for my 16 week appointment today, and we found out we are having a boy!  The baby was moving a ton, and was sitting really low so it was hard to get a good shot at first.  We saw him moving around and throwing his head and arms back.  It was fun.

I'm starting to feel him move a tiny bit, when I'm sitting really still.  I haven't had any nausea since I was 12 weeks, but out of nowhere I feel sick for like an hour or so, like it's making a little come-back.  I've gained 3 lbs so far, putting me at 124 lbs. No weird cravings, I just get hungry in between lunch and dinner, so I have to bring snacks to work or sometimes go through a drive-thru and get something quick to eat to hold me over.

It took a little while to see it, but there it is in between his legs!

I have to admit- this is a creepy picture.  He looks like an alien.  He was facing forward and moving his head and his arm during the ultrasound.  He even opened his mouth at one point, it was cute.

San Francisco

I went to San Francisco last weekend for my cousin Kristen's wedding.  Kevin was supposed to come, but he started his new job a couple days before and decided to stay home.  I drove with my brother and his wife Emily.  It was a short trip, we left Thursday and came home Sunday.  But it was really fun! We got to the hotel Thursday evening and went to dinner with my parents at the Elephant Bar.  On Friday we spent the entire day at San Fran. It was so nice!  It was in the 60's the whole day and beautiful.  We went to Pier 39, saw sea lions, got clam chowder, and went to the aquarium. We also went to Golden Gate Park for a while, and then went to Fisherman's Warf where we ate amazing crab.  Then that night we went to Ghiradelli square and got hot chocolate.  Saturday was my cousin's wedding at the Oakland temple, and it was beautiful!

14 weeks + a new job

I am in my second trimester, which is when everyone says you feel the best.  For the most part I do, no more all-day nausea (thank-goodness!)  But there are always annoying pregnancy symptoms that never leave you.  I enjoy food again though.  A lot.  I've eaten crab legs two weekends in a row.  Kevin gets me sunflower seeds from the grocery store like every other day.  I don't really get weird cravings, but when I do want something, I want it!  I went all the way from Bountiful to Salt Lake during work for lunch just for Weinerschnitzel the other day.  But it was soooo good.

Me at 14 weeks

It seems easier to take pictures after church on Sunday.  I'm already dressed, why not?

So on to Kevin's new job!  He has worked at Zions bank for 6 years now.  He's been ready for a change, and a friend of his works at Ranlife Home Lending.  He went on a mountain bike ride with him and his manager about a month ago, and the manager told him to send in his resume, because he knew quite a bit about loans.  It was a really long hiring process, three interviews and final testing, but he got the job!  He will be a mortgage loan officer in downtown Salt Lake.  It is salary plus commission, so he has the opportunity to do really well.  We are excited for him to start next week.

Unfortunately, he starts his new job the same week we were going to go to San Francisco for my cousin's wedding.  So he probably won't be going, but I'm going to drive up with my brother and his wife.  My parents and lots of family will be there so I'm excited!
